I visited a friend in Westerbork (Drenthe) this morning. I lived in that village for almost 10 years. This sculpture of a nurse with bike is in the centre in front of the old town hall. Made by Bert Kiewiet.

Parents guarding in the background, vague as they are (at least that’s the opinion of the children). These are handmade for us about 16 years ago, when our daughter was born. Son is 19 years old now.

Sculpture of Pieter Starreveld “Teenager” (1963) in center of Emmen. Would like that to be in my garden.
In the background you see restaurant “De Kamer”. Me and my wife had lunch on the terrace. Wonderful afternoon!
